"I had been reading financial news for years without really understanding what I was reading. The Chart Reading programme finally gave me the vocabulary to follow what was happening on Bursa properly. The Shariah instruments section was particularly useful — I had not found a clear explanation of that anywhere else."

"The Keeper's Log programme was the first time someone explained budgeting to me in a way that did not feel like a lecture. The workbook format made it feel like something I was building rather than something I was being told. I found the pace a little slow in the first two weeks, but the later sections on savings planning made up for it."

"I am approaching fifty and had never sat down to think seriously about EPF or what retirement might actually look like. The Long Watch programme was patient with me when I came in with basic questions. The one-to-one sessions with Nurul were what I needed — she was thorough and did not rush."

"What I appreciated most was that no one tried to sell me anything. Every other time I have tried to learn about finance in Malaysia, someone eventually steered the conversation toward a product. Here it stayed educational throughout. The Chart Reading content on unit trusts was more detailed than I expected."

"My wife and I both did the Keeper's Log together. It helped us get onto the same page about our household spending for the first time. The recorded sessions let me catch up on evenings when she watched ahead. We are both thinking about the Chart Reading programme next."

"The Long Watch programme helped me understand faraid and hibah in a way I had not managed to piece together from reading alone. Nurul took time in our individual session to explain how the different scenarios applied to Malaysian estates specifically. Very well structured overall."

VOYAGE RECORDS

Participant journeys

CASE STUDY 01 — KEEPER'S LOG

The Challenge

A married couple in their mid-thirties found that their combined income had grown, but they had no clear picture of where it went each month. Previous attempts at budgeting lasted two or three weeks before the tracking lapsed.

The Study

Both enrolled in the Keeper's Log programme and worked through it together over six weeks. The log-style workbooks allowed them to compare their individual spending observations before consolidating into a shared household record.

What Changed

By programme end, they had a working household budget that both understood and had contributed to. The recording habit held for four months after completion — and the husband enrolled in Chart Reading the following quarter.

CASE STUDY 02 — LONG WATCH

The Challenge

A civil servant approaching fifty-five had accumulated EPF savings over a thirty-year career but did not understand the withdrawal options, the healthcare implications, or what her estate would look like under faraid.

The Study

She enrolled in the Long Watch programme and scheduled three individual sessions with Nurul, focusing on EPF withdrawal structure, PRS options, and the basics of Malaysian estate distribution.

What Changed

She left the programme with a clearer understanding of her EPF position, a shortlist of questions to bring to a licensed financial planner, and a completed estate workbook to discuss with her family. She noted that she felt prepared to have those conversations for the first time.
